COURSE OVERVIEW

M.Ed is a 2 years postgraduate program that moulds the aspirants into qualified teachers who would help in the process of nation building in the future.

The M.Ed. students are encouraged to develop a deeper knowledge and understanding of the concept of teacher education and as a part of preparation of reflective practitioners, they are encouraged to find a balance between theory and field exposure. Also the M.Ed. students are motivated to develop a research oriented attitude by the exposure to a rich library and through seminars, workshops etc organized time to time at institutional level.

Co-curricular Activities

For improving the overall personality of the B.Ed. and M.Ed. students, seminars, work-shops, lectures of subject experts are held in the Department. For promoting general skills among the students programmes like debates, dramatics, quiz, essay competitions, social extension activities etc. are arranged in the department. Sports facilities are also made available and the students are encouraged to take part in sports. In this way, following the NCTE guidelines, the Departments B.Ed. and M.Ed always try to prepare the students to be effective teachers as well as good citizens also.
